Not much to see....

I've been there twice this last summer. We took our daughter the first time and went w/ her preschool class the second time. Both times, we were disappointed. There is a GREAT deal of walking involved and very few animals. The walk is mostly uphill until the end. The kids enjoyed the carousel & play ground, when you first enter the park, the most. There were only a handful of animals that we actually got to see... I think they may have been butterflies in the tents, bees in the glass case and a leopard or something similiar. The children were not interested. They felt it was boring. Towards the top is a green house or butterfly house and some other birds, I think vultures (turkey buzzards). The long walk back is suppose to be wolves, but I've never seen them. It is a nice walk throught the trees though.

There's nothing like a stroll through the zoo for a great day of fun! I love watching the animals and birds. The one thing I don't like is the hilly setting, which means lots of uphill walking...ugh! I've found a few gifts in their gift shop that I've really liked, too!

The grandkids love going to this zoo. It was very neat and clean with a large picnic area so we could have lunch right there. We will return many times, I'm sure!
